Overview
Alzprotect has completed a Phase IIa clinical trial of its lead candidate Ezeprogind/AZP2006 in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, showing promising safety and initial efficacy signals. The molecule was well tolerated and showed first signs of efficacy, leading to an extension of the trial and positive regulatory feedback from both EMA and FDA. A pivotal Phase IIb/III study is being prepared in Europe and the US. AZP2006 has orphan drug designation for PSP in both regions. The company also aims to expand into Alzheimer’s disease with this asset.
