Amcom Software was a U.S.-based healthcare and enterprise communications software company that provided mission-critical solutions for hospitals and other organizations. Its products focused on clinical alerting, operator console/contact center workflows, emergency management, scheduling, messaging, and paging infrastructure rather than drug development. The company was acquired by USA Mobility in March 2011 for approximately $163.3 million in cash. In 2014, Amcom Software was merged into Spok as part of the rebranding and integration of USA Mobility and Amcom Software. For healthcare customers, Amcom was best known for communications and workflow tools used by hospitals to coordinate staff, route calls, and improve patient-care communication.
