American Angus Association

The American Angus Association is the world's largest beef breed registry and a prominent leader in livestock life sciences and genomics. Through its subsidiary, Angus Genetics Inc. (AGI), the Association provides advanced genomic evaluations and bioinformatics services to cattle producers globally. The organization maintains a massive database of phenotypic and genotypic data, utilizing DNA sequencing technology to generate Genomic-Enhanced Expected Progeny Differences (GE-EPDs). These tools allow for the selection of traits related to animal health, fertility, and meat quality, significantly impacting the global food supply chain.
