USAntibiotics (formerly American Antibiotics, LLC) is a specialty pharmaceutical company and the sole U.S.-based manufacturer of penicillin-class antibiotics, including amoxicillin and amoxicillin-clavulanate (Amoxil and Augmentin). Headquartered in Bristol, Tennessee, the company operates a 394,000-square-foot facility designated as critical manufacturing infrastructure by the Department of Homeland Security. Acquired by Jackson Healthcare in 2021 out of bankruptcy, the company is dedicated to securing the domestic medical supply chain and reducing reliance on foreign drug production. In December 2025, USAntibiotics received FDA approval for Augmentin XR, returning the extended-release antibiotic to the U.S. market for the first time since 2011. The company maintains a portfolio of over 12 New Drug Applications (NDAs) and provides both branded and generic antibiotic products.
