American Diagnostica Inc. (ADI) was a specialized biotechnology company focused on the development and manufacture of diagnostic products for thrombosis, hemostasis, and fibrinolysis. Established in 1982, the company became a global leader in providing reagents, ELISA kits, and coagulation assays for both clinical diagnostics and pharmaceutical research. ADI was notably recognized for its pioneering work in oncology, specifically the commercialization of uPA and PAI-1 assays as prognostic markers for breast cancer. In 2010, the company was acquired by Sekisui Chemical and was subsequently integrated into Sekisui Diagnostics, continuing its legacy in the hematology and vascular research sectors.
