American Hospice

American Hospice, officially American Hospice Management Holdings, LLC, was a leading provider of hospice and palliative care services in the United States. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, the company grew to become one of the ten largest hospice management firms in the country, operating across seven states including Arizona, Texas, and Virginia. The company provided a range of end-of-life services, including pain management, emotional support, and spiritual care for terminally ill patients and their families. Following a period of financial distress and legal challenges related to Medicare billing, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2016. Its assets and operations were subsequently sold to various entities, including Hospice Partners of America and Oak Point Partners.
