Company intelligence / Profile preview
American OsteoMedix was a U.S. medical device company focused on minimally invasive spine products rather than a drug-development biotech pipeline. The company developed and marketed instrumentation systems used by surgeons to treat vertebral compression fractures and other osteoporotic bone conditions, including osteoplasty and vertebral augmentation procedures. It was founded in 1998 and was acquired by Interpore Cross International in 2001. After the acquisition, its products and operations were integrated into Interpore Cross's minimally invasive surgery business, so the company no longer appears to operate as an independent active entity.
