American Physician Partners was a U.S. physician-led healthcare services company that provided outsourced clinical staffing and management services to hospitals and health systems. Its core service lines included emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and critical care coverage, along with physician leadership and operational support. The company expanded nationally after its 2015 formation and was backed by private equity investor BBH Capital Partners. In July 2023, it announced it would cease operations and transition hospital contracts, and in September 2023 it filed Chapter 11 to complete an orderly wind-down. It was not a drug-development biotech or pharma company, but a provider-side healthcare operations and staffing business.
