Overview
Aminex Therapeutics has advanced its lead combination therapy—AMXT 1501 plus DFMO—into Phase 1/2 clinical trials. The approach aims to deplete polyamines in the tumor microenvironment to enhance immune response against cancer. Early animal studies have shown promising efficacy in inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis by overcoming immunosuppression mediated by polyamines and MDSCs. Clinical trials are ongoing or planned for various solid tumors including neuroblastoma, CNS tumors, sarcomas, HNSCC, mesothelioma, and gliomas. Some early-stage trials have been terminated or withdrawn but new investigator-led studies are planned.
