Company intelligence / Profile preview
Applied Molecular Transport (AMT) was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing oral versions of biological therapies that are typically administered via injection. The company utilized a proprietary technology platform based on a modified cholix toxin to transport therapeutic proteins across the intestinal epithelium into the bloodstream or local gastrointestinal tissue. Its lead candidate, AMT-101, was an oral gastrointestinal-selective IL-10 fusion protein evaluated for ulcerative colitis and other inflammatory conditions. In late 2023, AMT was acquired by Cyclo Therapeutics in an all-stock transaction to combine their respective pipelines and platforms.
