Amulet Pharmaceuticals was a drug discovery company focused on the development of novel protease inhibitors using its proprietary "Amulet" technology platform. The company's platform was designed to create highly selective and stable small molecule inhibitors for a variety of therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular disease, inflammation, and oncology. Founded in 2000 and based in Annapolis, Maryland, Amulet aimed to address the challenges of targeting proteases, which are critical enzymes in many disease processes. In March 2005, the company was acquired by Durect Corporation to enhance Durect's internal drug discovery capabilities and pipeline.
