Company intelligence / Profile preview
Analytical Products Group (APG) was a leading provider of proficiency testing (PT) and analytical reference materials for laboratories in the environmental, clinical, and industrial sectors. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Belpre, Ohio, the company developed standardized samples and testing programs that enabled laboratories to verify the accuracy of their analytical results and comply with regulatory requirements. APG's portfolio included a comprehensive range of PT programs for various matrices, including water, soil, and air, as well as custom-formulated standards. In July 2008, APG was acquired by Sigma-Aldrich, which integrated the company's offerings into its analytical chemistry business to strengthen its position in the laboratory quality control market. Following the subsequent acquisition of Sigma-Aldrich by Merck KGaA, APG's legacy products and services were integrated into the MilliporeSigma business unit.
