Ancora Innovation

Ancora Innovation is a collaborative venture between Vanderbilt University and Deerfield Management, established to accelerate the translation of academic research into life-saving therapeutics. Launched in 2018, the partnership provides up to $65 million in funding and extensive drug development expertise to support promising projects originating from Vanderbilt's research labs. Ancora functions as a bridge between early-stage discovery and clinical application, focusing on diverse therapeutic areas including neuroscience and oncology. By combining Vanderbilt’s scientific innovation with Deerfield’s financial and operational resources, the entity aims to streamline the path to commercialization for novel drug candidates. The collaboration is part of a broader network of university-based innovation hubs managed by Deerfield.
