Andor Capital Management was a prominent American hedge fund management firm that specialized in the technology and healthcare sectors. Established in 2001 by Daniel Benton and Christopher James following their departure from Pequot Capital, the firm became one of the largest tech-focused investment vehicles of its era. The company primarily employed a long/short equity strategy, targeting high-growth opportunities in biotechnology, telecommunications, and software. At its peak, Andor managed billions of dollars in assets and was known for its aggressive, high-conviction investment style. Following a period of internal restructuring and the departure of co-founder Christopher James in 2004, the firm eventually wound down its primary investment funds around 2008.
