Company intelligence / Profile preview
Angion Biomedica was a U.S. clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on small-molecule therapies for acute organ injury and fibrotic disease, with a particular emphasis on renal indications. Its pipeline included ANG-3777, a hepatocyte growth factor/c-Met pathway agonist for acute kidney injury and delayed graft function, and ANG-3070, an oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor being developed for fibrotic kidney and lung diseases. After clinical setbacks, including the discontinuation of key kidney programs, the company pursued a strategic transaction. On June 1, 2023, Angion completed a reverse merger with Elicio Therapeutics and changed its corporate name to Elicio Therapeutics, so Angion no longer operates as an independent company.
