Antibody Shop

Antibody Shop was a Danish biotechnology company founded in 1999 that specialized in the development of high-quality monoclonal antibodies for research and diagnostic use. The company focused on providing reagents with a particular emphasis on the complement system and biomarkers for inflammation and infectious diseases. It is most notable for developing the first commercial assays for Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin (NGAL), which has since become a standard biomarker for the early detection of acute kidney injury. In 2007, the company was acquired by BioPorto A/S, a leader in in vitro diagnostics, which integrated Antibody Shop's extensive catalog into its own diagnostic portfolio. Today, the legacy of Antibody Shop remains central to BioPorto's offerings in the nephrology and emergency medicine markets.
