Antiva’s lead candidate ABI‑2280 is a first-in-class topical antiviral designed to treat persistent high-risk HPV infections and pre-cancerous cervical lesions. The drug is currently in Phase 1/2 clinical development. It has shown promise as a non-surgical, self-administered therapy that could address an unmet need in women’s health by providing an alternative to invasive procedures. No approved therapeutic options currently exist for these indications; current treatments are surgical with associated risks to reproductive health. Early results suggest the potential to eliminate high-grade dysplasia in nearly half of treated women.[1][6][10]
