Antyra, Inc. was a biopharmaceutical company based in Edison, New Jersey, that focused on developing targeted therapies for cancer by modulating the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) pathway. The company utilized its proprietary Surface-Expressed Molecules (SEM) and phage display platforms to identify novel monoclonal antibodies and peptide-based antagonists. Its lead candidate, ANT-429, was an IGF-1R antagonist designed to treat various solid tumors, including pancreatic and prostate cancer. Antyra established a significant global licensing agreement with Novo Nordisk in 2008 to advance its IGF-related programs. Although the company is no longer active, it was a notable player in the early wave of IGF-1R drug development.
