Anvera was a biotechnology company that developed a high-throughput, automated platform for the analysis of cell-free DNA (cfDNA). The company's technology was designed to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of genetic testing workflows, particularly for non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and liquid biopsy applications. In January 2017, Anvera was acquired by Natera, a leader in genetic testing, for approximately $10.5 million in cash and stock. The acquisition allowed Natera to integrate Anvera's automation capabilities into its laboratory operations, supporting its expansion into oncology and transplant monitoring.
