Apex Surgical was a medical device company specializing in the design and manufacture of advanced orthopedic implants and surgical instruments. The company is best known for developing the Apex Knee System, which focused on providing high-flexion capabilities and improved anatomical fit for patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty. Founded in 1994 and based in Lakeville, Massachusetts, Apex Surgical was acquired in 2004 by OMNIlife science (now OMNI Orthopaedics, a subsidiary of Corin Group). The company's technology served as a cornerstone for OMNI's expansion into the orthopedic market, eventually integrating with robotic-assisted surgical systems.
