Applied Bioinformatics Laboratory

Applied Bioinformatics Laboratory (ABiL) is a private-public partnership between IHRC, Inc., ASRT, Inc., and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Based in Atlanta, the laboratory provides a wide range of bioinformatics services, including high-throughput genomic data analysis, custom pipeline development, and specialized workforce training for government, academic, and industry sectors. ABiL is recognized for developing advanced computational tools like STing, an ultrafast genomic profiling algorithm, and for its extensive work in public health surveillance and infectious disease research. The laboratory leverages the academic research excellence of Georgia Tech alongside the program management and consulting expertise of its corporate partners to deliver turn-key bioinformatics solutions. Its services support a wide range of applications, from cancer diagnostics to the monitoring of antibiotic-resistant infections.
