Aptus Biotech is a Spanish biotechnology company specializing in the development of innovative applications based on aptamer technology. Founded in 2010 as a spin-off from the Ramon y Cajal Hospital, the company operates an aptamer technology platform to design and develop custom DNA and RNA aptamers for therapeutic, diagnostic, and research purposes. Aptus Biotech's proprietary platform, AptaDetect, is an ultra-sensitive biosensing technology designed for high-sensitivity detection and diagnostics. The company also offers Aptateca, a catalog of pre-developed aptamers, alongside custom aptamer selection and development services. Aptus Biotech spun out aptaTargets in 2014 to advance clinical-stage aptamer therapeutics, while continuing its own R&D in oncology, infectious diseases, and other areas.
