AquaFlow, Inc. was a medical device company focused on developing innovative surgical solutions for the treatment of glaucoma. The company's primary product was the AquaFlow Collagen Glaucoma Drainage Device, a biocompatible collagen implant used in non-penetrating deep sclerectomy (NPDS) to facilitate the drainage of aqueous humor and reduce intraocular pressure. This technology offered a less invasive alternative to traditional trabeculectomy, aiming to reduce postoperative complications. In 2003, the company was acquired by STAAR Surgical Company, which integrated the AquaFlow technology into its ophthalmic product portfolio.
