Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development

The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) is an independent international financial institution established in 1976 with the primary mission of enhancing food security in the Arab world. Headquartered in Khartoum, Sudan, with a significant regional office in Dubai, UAE, AAAID functions as an investment holding entity that establishes and manages large-scale agricultural and livestock projects. The organization's investment portfolio is diversified across four main sectors: agricultural processing, plant production, livestock production, and agricultural services. By providing capital, technical expertise, and fostering public-private partnerships, AAAID aims to modernize the agricultural sector and reduce the region's reliance on food imports. It is owned by 21 Arab member states and operates on a commercial basis to ensure the sustainability of its developmental goals.
