Arab Potash

Arab Potash Company (APC) is a Jordan-based mining and chemical enterprise and one of the world's leading producers of potash. Founded in 1956, the company operates a massive solar evaporation pond system at the Dead Sea to extract potassium chloride, which is primarily used as a high-grade agricultural fertilizer. Beyond potash, APC produces industrial-grade salt, magnesium chloride, and, through its subsidiary Jordan Bromine Company, bromine and bromine derivatives used in various industries including pharmaceuticals and flame retardants. The company is a major contributor to the Jordanian economy and exports its products to markets across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
