Arete Pharmacy Network

Arete Pharmacy Network is a national Pharmacy Services Administrative Organization (PSAO) that provides contracting, clinical, and administrative services to independent community pharmacies. Formed in 2016, the company assists pharmacies in managing third-party payer contracts, improving Star Ratings, and ensuring accurate claim reimbursements through audit protection and reconciliation services. In 2018, it became a wholly owned subsidiary of American Associated Pharmacies (AAP) after the acquisition of H.D. Smith's stake. In 2021, Arete partnered with Pharmacy Providers of Oklahoma (PPOk) to form AlignRx, creating one of the largest independent PSAOs in the United States to further support the financial and operational viability of independent retail pharmacies.
