Argenes

Argenes is a Japanese biotechnology company that specialized in the development of Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) for regenerative medicine and the treatment of intractable diseases. Established as a venture from Osaka University, the company focused on the therapeutic potential of HGF in protecting and regenerating tissues in the nervous system and kidneys. Its lead candidate, KP-100 (recombinant human HGF), was progressed into clinical trials for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and acute kidney injury. The company's technology and pipeline were eventually consolidated under Kringle Pharma, which currently manages the clinical development of these HGF-based programs.
