Arizona Breast Net

Arizona Breast Net (ABN) was a clinical research network dedicated to expanding access to breast cancer clinical trials across the state of Arizona. Established as a collaboration between the University of Arizona Cancer Center and various community-based oncology practices, the organization focused on bringing academic-grade research protocols to patients in local settings. ABN facilitated the implementation of Phase II and Phase III clinical trials, covering areas such as novel therapeutics, prevention strategies, and supportive care. By bridging the gap between academic research and community medicine, the network aimed to increase patient accrual and accelerate the development of new breast cancer treatments. While highly active in the late 1990s and 2000s, its functions have since been largely absorbed into broader regional oncology research infrastructures.
