ARMR Sciences is a pre-clinical stage biotechnology company focused on developing a platform for in vivo cell programming using mRNA and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology. Spun out of the University of Pennsylvania, the company's foundational research enables the engineering of specific effector cells, such as T cells, directly within a patient's body to treat a variety of diseases. Its lead program targets fibroblast activation protein (FAP) to generate in vivo CAR-T cells for the treatment of cardiac fibrosis. ARMR Sciences served as the foundational entity that subsequently launched as Capstan Therapeutics with significant venture backing. The company's approach aims to overcome the complexities and costs associated with traditional ex vivo cell therapies.
