Arnis Eņģelis

Arnis Eņģelis is a leading Latvian paediatric surgeon and academic who maintains a private medical practice in Rīga. He serves as the Head of the Department of Paediatric Surgery at Rīga Stradiņš University and is a senior surgeon at the Children's Clinical University Hospital. His professional focus includes paediatric abdominal surgery, proctology, and the implementation of minimally invasive surgical techniques in Latvia. In addition to clinical practice, he is a prolific researcher with over 100 scientific publications and has led clinical studies on the conservative treatment of appendicitis. Professor Eņģelis is recognized as a pioneer in his field, having received the Professor Aleksandrs Bieziņš Award, the highest professional honor for paediatric surgeons in Latvia.
