Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Aarhus, the company provided a range of services including DNA/RNA extraction, genotyping, and gene expression analysis using advanced platforms like Affymetrix and Illumina. Aros was particularly noted for its GLP-compliant biobanking services, offering secure storage and management of biological samples for clinical trials. In November 2013, the company was acquired by Eurofins Scientific, a world leader in bioanalytical testing.
