Overview

The company's lead product, the AXERA Access Device (also referred to as "Arstasis One"), was launched in the U.S. in April 2011 after receiving FDA clearance. It introduced a new method for femoral artery access that allowed faster and potentially safer closure compared to traditional techniques. The device penetrated the artery diagonally so tissue overlapped and sealed more quickly than with conventional hollow-bore needles. The company raised significant venture funding but ultimately ceased operations.
