Artedrone

Artedrone was a French medtech company developing autonomous microrobotic technology for mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke. Its core product, SASHA, used externally guided magnetic microrobots, imaging, and artificial intelligence to automate clot-removal procedures and broaden access to stroke intervention beyond specialized neurointerventional centers. The company positioned its technology as a platform to democratize thrombectomy by improving navigation, precision, and procedural reproducibility. Artedrone remained preclinical through 2025, reporting in vitro and animal-study progress. In early 2026, the company was acquired as part of Affluent Medical's combination of Artedrone and Caranx Medical into the new medtech company Carvolix.
