Arteriocyte Medical Systems

Arteriocyte Medical Systems was a medical device and biotechnology company focused on the development and commercialization of point-of-care cell therapy technologies. Their flagship product, the Magellan Autologous Platelet Separator System, is a rapid, automated bedside system used to concentrate platelets and cells from a patient's own blood or bone marrow. These autologous biologics are primarily used to promote healing in surgical applications such as orthopedics, cardiovascular procedures, and chronic wound management. Originally spun out from Arteriocyte, Inc. in 2007, the company established a strong presence in the surgical and cellular processing markets. In 2016, Arteriocyte Medical Systems was acquired by ISTO Technologies to form ISTO Biologics, integrating its cell-processing expertise with ISTO's orthopedic regenerative portfolio.
