Company intelligence / Profile preview
Arura Speciality Pharma Inc. (ASP) was a Canadian pharmaceutical company established in 2008 as a spin-off from Arura Pharma Inc. The company was formed to focus on the development and commercialization of late-stage specialty pharmaceutical products and an innovative drug delivery platform. Its primary asset was a bio-adhesive gel technology, acquired through the purchase of Silkit Pharma Corporation, which was being developed for the prevention of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infections. Led by President and CEO Ali Moghaddam, the company aimed to operate as a pure-play entity for its clinical programs in oncology, dermatology, and neurology. Despite its promising pipeline, the company's operations were impacted by the financial and regulatory challenges faced by its parent organization, which eventually led to its dissolution.
