Aruspex

Aruspex was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of small molecule inhibitors targeting the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway. The company's lead program, PRI-724, was designed to specifically inhibit the interaction between CBP (CREB-binding protein) and beta-catenin, a critical driver in oncogenesis and fibrotic diseases. Aruspex's pipeline primarily targeted liver-related conditions, including hepatocellular carcinoma and liver cirrhosis. The company was founded based on the research of Dr. Michael Kahn and utilized a proprietary platform to identify molecules that modulate stem cell differentiation. In 2014, Aruspex was acquired by Targazyme (formerly America Stem Cell) to integrate its oncology and fibrosis assets into Targazyme's cell therapy enhancement portfolio.
