Ascend Manufacturing

Ascend Manufacturing is a private U.S. additive manufacturing company developing and commercializing a patented 3D-printing platform called Large Area Projection Sintering (LAPS). The company provides contract manufacturing and industrial 3D-printing services designed to produce end-use plastic parts at speeds and costs intended to compete with injection molding while avoiding tooling delays. Although Ascend has pursued applications in medical devices through its subsidiary Ascend Medical, the core company is not primarily a life sciences or biopharma developer, CRO, or CDMO. Its broader commercial focus appears to include industrial, aerospace, defense, and selected medical device applications.
