ASKLEP Inc. was a prominent Japanese Contract Research Organization (CRO) that provided a comprehensive suite of clinical trial support services to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Tokyo, the company specialized in monitoring, data management, biostatistics, and post-marketing surveillance. It operated as a subsidiary of the INTAGE Group and established a significant presence in the Asia-Pacific region with subsidiaries in China, Taiwan, and South Korea. In 2014, ASKLEP's clinical research business was acquired by ITOCHU Corporation and merged with ACRONET to form A2 Healthcare Corporation, which continues to operate as a major full-service CRO in Japan.
