Asociación Científica para la Investigación Nefrológica (ACIN) is a Spanish non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of clinical research and education in nephrology. Based in Madrid, the association serves as a coordinating body for multicenter clinical trials, observational studies, and the development of clinical practice guidelines. ACIN focuses on improving outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly those undergoing hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. The organization also develops digital health tools and nutritional resources, such as the Nefrodiet application, to assist in the management of renal diets. Through collaborations with hospitals and the Spanish Society of Nephrology, ACIN plays a vital role in the Spanish renal research ecosystem.
