Aspen Notre Dame de Bondeville is a premier pharmaceutical manufacturing site located in France and a subsidiary of the South African multinational Aspen Pharmacare. The facility is recognized as one of Europe's largest and most advanced centers for the production of sterile pre-filled syringes. It was acquired from GlaxoSmithKline in 2013 as part of a strategic expansion into the thrombosis therapeutic area. The site specializes in the end-to-end manufacture of injectable anticoagulants, most notably Arixtra and Fraxiparine. Beyond internal production, it operates as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), providing sterile filling and packaging services to external pharmaceutical partners. The plant maintains high-speed automated lines and adheres to global GMP standards for distribution to over 100 countries.
