Astralis Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing novel therapies for the treatment of immune-mediated skin diseases, most notably psoriasis. The company's lead product candidate, Psoraxine, was a DNA-based therapeutic vaccine designed to modulate the immune system's response to treat moderate-to-severe psoriasis. Astralis utilized a proprietary platform to develop targeted immunotherapies that aimed to provide long-term remission with improved safety profiles compared to systemic treatments. In 2006, the company was acquired by Biogen Idec to bolster their immunology pipeline.
