Astrea Bioseparations (legally Astrea International Limited) is a leading provider of chromatography products and services for the biopharmaceutical industry, specializing in the development and manufacture of affinity resins, columns, and purification solutions. Formerly known as Prometic Bioseparations, the company was acquired by Sartorius from Gamma Biosciences in 2023 for approximately €190 million. Astrea offers a wide range of off-the-shelf and custom adsorbents used in the purification of biologics, including recombinant proteins, vaccines, and cell and gene therapies. With manufacturing and R&D facilities in the UK, Isle of Man, and North America, the company supports the global bioprocessing market from discovery to large-scale production.
