Overview
The NephroCheck Test developed by Astute Medical received FDA clearance in September 2014 for assessing risk of moderate to severe acute kidney injury within hospitalized patients. It uses proprietary biomarkers measured via immunoassay technology on a microfluidic cartridge read by the Astute140™ Meter. The test delivers results in about twenty minutes and aims to enable earlier intervention to prevent permanent kidney damage or death. No additional clinical-stage programs are publicly disclosed.
