ASUR Marche

ASUR Marche (Azienda Sanitaria Unica Regionale delle Marche) was the central public health authority responsible for the management and delivery of healthcare services in the Marche region of Italy. Headquartered in Ancona, the organization coordinated a network of hospitals, clinics, and local health units to provide comprehensive medical care and public health programs. It played a vital role in the regional healthcare infrastructure, overseeing clinical research participation and health data administration. On January 1, 2023, ASUR Marche was officially dissolved and replaced by five independent territorial health units (Aziende Sanitarie Territoriali - AST) as part of a regional administrative reform. This transition was designed to decentralize healthcare governance and improve the efficiency of services at the provincial level.
