Atom Sciences, Inc. was a specialized analytical technology company based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, that focused on ultra-sensitive atomic detection. Founded as a spin-off from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the company pioneered the use of Resonance Ionization Spectroscopy (RIS) and Sputter Initiated Resonance Ionization Spectroscopy (SIRIS) for detecting rare atoms and isotopes.
