Company intelligence / Profile preview
Atonomics was a Danish medical technology company specializing in the development of advanced point-of-care (POC) diagnostic solutions. The company's core innovation was the Atolyzer platform, a centrifugal microfluidic system designed to deliver laboratory-standard immunoassay and clinical chemistry results from whole blood in minutes. Its primary focus was on critical care markers, including high-sensitivity Troponin I for the rapid diagnosis of myocardial infarction and C-reactive protein for monitoring inflammation. By enabling high-performance testing outside of central laboratories, Atonomics sought to improve clinical workflows in emergency departments and primary care settings. However, the company ceased operations and filed for bankruptcy in late 2020 following difficulties in securing additional capital for commercial expansion.
