Company intelligence / Profile preview
Atticus Capital was a prominent American hedge fund management firm founded in 1995 by Timothy Barakett. At its peak, the firm managed over $20 billion in assets and was known for its aggressive activist investment strategies and significant positions in various global markets. While the firm invested across multiple sectors, it was not a life sciences or biotechnology company and did not maintain a drug development pipeline. Atticus Capital ceased most of its operations and returned capital to investors in 2009 following the global financial crisis.
