Attivare Therapeutics is a preclinical-stage biotechnology company developing a novel class of immunotherapies and vaccines based on its proprietary ATTImmune platform. Spun out from the Wyss Institute at Harvard University, the company utilizes a biomaterial scaffold technology—specifically mesoporous silica rods (MSRs)—that can be injected to form a 3D microenvironment in vivo. This scaffold is designed to recruit, reprogram, and activate immune cells to trigger a potent and durable systemic immune response against cancer or infectious pathogens. Attivare is currently advancing programs for hard-to-treat tumors with low immunogenicity and a next-generation malaria vaccine, the latter of which is supported by significant funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
