Overview
Audion Therapeutics has completed a Phase I/IIa trial of LY3056480, an intratympanically administered gamma-secretase inhibitor for sensorineural hearing loss. The Phase I trial with 15 patients confirmed safety and tolerability of the highest dose (250 micrograms). Some patients showed improvements in speech understanding in noisy environments, with benefits continuing during the 12-month follow-up period. The company has advanced to a multi-center Phase II efficacy study with 40 adult patients with mild to moderate SNHL in the UK, Germany, and Greece.[5][7][8]
