Audion Therapeutics is a private clinical-stage hearing-loss biotech focused on developing disease-modifying therapies for sensorineural hearing loss. The company is based in Amsterdam and has described operations in both the Netherlands and the United States. Its lead program, AUD1001 (LY3056480), is an intratympanic small-molecule gamma-secretase inhibitor intended to promote regeneration of cochlear hair cells and neuronal connections in acquired sensorineural hearing loss. Audion has reported Phase I/IIa clinical data through the REGAIN consortium and has built its program around discoveries from the Edge lab at Massachusetts Eye and Ear. Historically, the company has also worked with partners including Eli Lilly and Sanofi on hearing-loss therapeutics and related delivery technologies.
